The 19th China Toy Expo Wrapped Up Successfully in October 2020
Asia’s Flagship Toy Fair Featuring Comprehensive New Products & Industry Trends
During Oct. 21-23, 2020, the 19th China Toy Expo (CTE) organized by China Toy and Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA) took place as originally scheduled at Shanghai New International Expo Center. The show wrapped up successfully attracting 82,081 visitors with an exhibition scale of 220,000sqm.
This year, CTE brought together top-rated toy manufacturers from over 20 domestic production hubs and a large number of internationally renowned brands showcasing comprehensive categories of new products. Moreover, a variety of theme activities were also launched to provide a holistic view of toy industry development trends and explore new opportunities. Additionally, a noticeable increase in the number of import/export trading companies and cross-border e-commerce players reflected a new momentum in export-oriented attendees.
With nearly 20 years of development, CTE has become the preferred platform for a great number of foreign brands to tap into the China market and even Asia. This year, the Covid-19 pandemic didn’t preclude the participation of international brands. Many returning big brands, such as LEGO, HAPE, TY, MGA, ZURU, BANDAI, EPOCH, GUND, Jakks, Vtech, SMART GAMES, DJECO, HABA etc choose CTE as the only tradeshow to join in Asia. Furthermore, famous Japanese brands TAKARA TOMY, Animal Life, British brand Jelly Cat and American brand Tonka exhibited at CTE for the first time.
As an important promotion platform for the construction of industrial clusters, regional economy and industrial development, CTE is highly recognized by the local governments and associations of 20 major domestic toy & baby products production regions across China, including Dongguan, Shenzhen, Chenghai (Guangdong Province), Ningbo, Yunhe, Yongjia (Zhejiang Province), Qingdao, Linyi (Shandong Province), Baoying (Jiangsu Province), Quanzhou, Jinjiang (Fujian Province), Ankang (Shaanxi Province), Baigou (Hebei Province), etc. Leading manufacturers, such as TopBright, Xinyun, Banbao, Beiens, Goodway, Wist, PaiTechnology, DoubleEagle, Kurhn, Bestway etc. from these production hubs participated in CTE to introduce product innovations, promote self-developed brands and explore business opportunities.
This year, the Certified Supplier Initiative was launched by CTJPA to bridge the gap between quality Chinese manufacturers and international buyers. As the only nation-wide industry association with over 5000 members, CTJPA evaluates export-oriented Chinese manufacturers in line with five criteria including product safety, safety assurance management system, specified standards, export qualifications and social responsibility to hand-pick a great selection of certified suppliers. With Certified Supplier Initiative (CSI), international buyers can find reliable Chinese toy and juvenile products manufacturers that meet their expectations with ease. Hundreds of certified suppliers were also present at CTE physical fairground, showcasing their latest products to international buyers via Facebook livestreaming, and thus enabling both online & offline business matching.
The 20th China Toy Expo will be held during October 19-21, 2021 at the same venue. Stay tuned for more updates!
