Dark Horse and Super7 Announce ‘The Art of Super7’ Book
Dark Horse Books and Super7, a pop-culture design house and producer of collectibles, are partnering to publish an artbook called The Art of Super7. This book will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the art, design, and packaging of product collections that Super7 has released since the company’s founding in 2001.
Led by designer Brian Flynn, Super7 has used the graphics, aesthetics, and energy of his youthful obsessions to build the business. The Art of Super7 will feature aspects of this nostalgia, including the science fiction, giant monsters, comic books, punk rock, skateboarding, robots, and rebellion influences that have made up Super7.
The 216-page artbook, measuring 9 inches by 12 inches, features information for official product collections for licensed brands including G.I. Joe, Universal Monsters, Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, Transformers, and Peanuts.
It will also include the licensed merchandise programs Super7 has designed, manufactured, and distributed for music legends, such as Iron Maiden, the Misfits, Beastie Boys, Ghost, The Grateful Dead, and more.
